The bells of St. Joseph were made at the Buckeye Bell Foundry owned by Vanduzen and Tift in Cincinnati. They were made in 1893, when Leo XIII was pope, Grover Cleveland was president, J.T. Rich was governor, Henry J. Richter was bishop, and Ed Kozlowski was the rector. Inscribed on each bell is its name, measurements, year [of manufacture], and the names or the initials of those who contributed to its purchase.
